We are being bombarded with negative news and uncertainty. While, admittedly, these are trying times, I believe we should focus on the possibilities that lie ahead as well as the positive changes occurring in our nation. A friend of mine posted the following on Facebook, which gave me hope and brightened my day. So, I’d like to share it with our DG following, in the hope it will help someone look at the bright side.
Here it is:
“The reports are that the truckers are getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking the shelves all night and letting old people shop first. Carnival Cruise line told Trump, ‘We can match those big Navy Hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships.’ GM said, ‘Hold our cars and watch this; we can make those ventilators where we were making cars starting next week. Women and children are making homemade masks and handing out snacks to truckers. Restaurants and schools said We’ve got kitchens and staff; we can feed kids.’ Churches are holding online services and taking care of their members and community. NBA basketball players said, ‘Hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff.’ Construction companies said, ‘Here are some masks for the medical staff and doctors.’ Breweries are making sanitizer out of the left-over ingredients. We thought we couldn’t live without baseball, NASCAR, NBA or going to the beach, restaurants or a bar. Instead, we’re trying to keep those businesses open by ordering takeout. And many are making a difference by just being still, a virtue thought to be lost.”
“What China didn’t count on was America saying ‘Hey, hold my beer and watch this.’”
“Japanese Admiral Yamamoto, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, said it best in 1941, ‘I think we have awakened a sleeping giant.’”
“Give us a few more weeks (maybe months) and we will be doing much better! And stop listening to the hysterical media!!”
Sharing this from another FB friend. The best post I’ve seen this year!
“We have a wonderful country and an amazing God.”
“I know we will be ok.”

Awesome Country we live in
This totally inspiring post has brought clarity to some of this chaos. We need to remember that in the face of challenge, humankind has always risen to the occasion. In this moment, we need to focus on the bigger picture and not just ourselves. If we look inward and stress on potential losses, then the virus will win. It will cause anxiety, lower our immune response and possibly sicken us as a result of our own thoughts.
Take time to meditate, control your negative thinking. Drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy. Take 15 minutes to exercise. Make sure you smile. Even if you have to force it, a smile will make you feel better! By doing these things, you will brighten your day. Our perceptions most often become our reality, so perceive success!
As always, we are here to fix your cars should the need arise! Thanks. Be safe and remain positive!
