If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly activities in the San Gabriel Valley this summer, why not take the gang to a classic car show? Whether you own a vintage automobile or just want to admire the craftsmanship and attention to detail, car shows are great because they are held outside in the So Cal sunshine. Pomona Swap Meet Car Shows
5 a.m. until 2 p.m., rain or shine
Held seven times a year at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. Thousands of classic car owners display their pride and joy in six distinct Car Corral Areas: Pre-’85 Classic Cars, any year Corvettes, any year Porsches, Pre-’59 Street Rods, Pre-’85 Imports and Pre-’85 Volkswagens. Each event draws spectators from across the globe to shop over 15 miles of hard to find car parts and accessories. Come to buy, come to sell or dream. Wild Bill’s Riverside Nationals Car Show

Hosted by the Rubidoux High School Route 66 Car Club. Held at Rubidoux High, 4250 Opal Street. Open to all years, makes, and models. All proceeds benefit the Club Scholarship Fund. Tickets $5 for adults, children 10 and under free, students and military free with ID. All proceeds to benefit the Route 66 Car Club Scholarship Fund.

11th Annual Cal Rods Car Show
11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Arcadia, CA
Hosted by Cal-Rods San Gabriel Valley and held at Santa Anita Park, this event is open to owners (and fans) of pre-1980 classics, street rods, customs, and trucks, and all years of special interest vehicles and Corvettes. Gates open at 5 a.m.
Chino, CAEl Prado Show & Shine 2017 presented by VTO and Just Cruizin SoCal VW Club. Held at Prado Regional Park, 16700 South Euclid Avenue. Hours: VW show and shine, swap meet, food, raffle, vendors, and awards. Swap meet and car show. Swappers pay $35. Vendors pay $50. Reduced admission with food donations.
