Hosts sponsored the event previously in Oakland. Pomona hosted for 17 years. This year, sponsors invited only 10 vehicles to compete. Owner Walter Sigsby contracted Dan Gogh to complete the car. Sigsby assigned Dan the all-important job of applying a killer paint job. Walter wanted Dan to make sure his vehicle stood out from the crowd. Mission accomplished!

Dan painted the car heavy metalflake with candy orange. Then, to top it all off, he added yellow and green flames. The combination complimented the build so well that it was awarded the Blackie Gejien Award for the show. The Leg Show T was built in the 70’s and, in its prime, was featured on the cover of Rod and Custom Magazine. Since then, the car had sat virtually untouched. It had deteriorated until new owner Walter Sigsby decided to restore it to better than new condition. This year, the car would contend for the coveted AMBR (America’s Most Beautiful Roadster) award.

“This build thrilled my whole team. We look forward to seeing this car garner attention as it tours this year in the country’s top car shows,” said Dan (Gogh) Hansen, who Rod Authority writers refer to as a ‘hotshot painter.’”
